Once again we enjoyed our stay at the Green Garden and always appreciate it when we are given one of the rooms that we have requested.
I must say that this time it was probably the noisiest among all of our stays at your hotel. It is unfortunate that the guests near us were not considerate of others, e.g.: slamming door in the early hours of the morning, playing loud music, screaming kids in the pool at 10pm, etc.
On a positive note: the staff at Green Garden are fantastic and it is great to see the same faces each time we come back. This time there was a new girl Nilli (not sure if that is the correct spelling) working in Reception. She is fantastic. Her English is good, she is very pleasant (as are all the staff), she picks things up quickly, she is accurate in what she does and she shows initiative. She will be worth looking after. We look forward to seeing how she has further progressed when we next come to Bali which unfortunately at this point in time looks like being August 2007 (at the earliest).
I took some photos of the staff when they were dressed in their traditional dress. It would be appreciated if you could get these to them. I will also include a couple of Dianne and her family from the shop across the street. I didn’t get her e-mail address before we left. I will send all the photos separately in another e-mail as soon as I have downloaded them.
Bill & Glen will be there on the 18 th for about 3 weeks. They also have requested a downstairs room and it would be appreciated if this could be accommodated. I think they will also be back to Bali with us in August 2007.
Once again we really do appreciate the way the Green Garden team look after us and make us most welcome.
Look forward to seeing you when next we come to Bali & the Green Garden.

My hubby and I have a wonderful trip to Bali and our stays in Green Garden Hotel were splendid. Although we have booked for a Standard Room, we were assigned to a Family Room which is fabulous. The room is big, comfortable and romantic. And the food.. YUMMY! Good job to GG.
Talking about the staffs, they are much friendly than we expected. We especially like to thanks sweety Miss Nily (hope I got the name right) and handsome Mr. Bagus (that's a great name). Not forgetting smarty Mr. Willy ya…!
Every other hotel staff whose name not mentioned here doesn't mean they are not good. It's just that we have no enough time to know them better. Attached are few photos for memory...

Thank you for your email. It was very nice of you to send a sincere thank you letter.
I do have some comments to make on the Green Garden and Febris.
As a customer that always stays at the Green Garden Hotel every six months and also eats at the new Febris, I find that it is a little disappointing to have the same menu of food year after year at Green Garden. I think that it would be helpful to have a menu board with maybe two or three choices for a special of the day on them.
That way, people that return to Green Garden will have another choice to turn to. I actually found myself this trip going to spend my money at another establishment rather than staying at the hotel and enjoying the company of your wonderful staff...I would also like to mention that I also found some of the breakfast menu a little strange. I realize that you have people from all around the world, but as I looked around the restaurant in the mornings, the regular guests seemed to be having toast every morning. Maybe if you could change some of the items to some more western foods, your guests may enjoy it a little more.
As for your wonder staff. What can I say.....they are fantastic every single one of them.
- The room boys are very very pleasant and do such a good job. They rooms are very clean and that is one of the reasons I stay at Green Garden. I have tried other Hotels but the standards are very high indeed at Green Garden.
- I think you have the best waiters in Bali. They really make the atmosphere at Green Garden fantastic. Their great big smiles and attendance to details is really great. They know what you want even before you have to ask for it. It’s just the simple things from day to day that make all the difference. I guess that’s why you have so many return
guests to your hotel.
- Your reception staff are absolutely wonderful as well.
I did enjoy the fact that you had music every night as well. Ranald and Iwan do a great job. I did suggest to them that they update there music to something a little more current but did enjoy the entertainment every night anyway.
Thank you very much again Paulus for a wonderful stay and I have been very candid I know, but I know no other way.
I will have absolutely no hesitation in suggesting Green Garden or Febris to many of my friends in Western Australia nor would I have any problems staying there again in May of 2007.

Your hotel’s location is great for families who like to spend a couple of weeks in Bali. The price is great and the cleanliness is well above its value. The location of your hotel is just perfect with a Kodak photo developer and money changer next door.
In addition, I think your effort in getting feedbacks makes me feel that you are really making the effort in providing a good service and at the same time try to make any improvements possible. Keep up the good work and I will also recommend your hotels to friends and family.
Some suggestions on collecting feedbacks:
1. Why not print out 1 or at the most 2 pages of A4 size questionnaire placed in the guestrooms. Only for those guests that are staying 3 nights or more. Let the house keeping staff place the questionnaire towards the end of their stay.
2. Most often people don't like to spend the time to reply but give them some incentives. A free drink at the bar, 1 afternoon tea (Coffee Tea and pastries) delivered to the room, or Complimentary item from the Menu under RPH 25,000 are all a small touch to get feedbacks.

It was lovely to stay at Green Garden Hotel as everything was well organized. Everything is like what you have put in you website. All the staff were helpful and worked with a good attitude.
Unfortunately we didn't manage to see a lot of Bali because my daughter was sick. We will definitely come back and your hotel will be on my list. I have to say one of your housekeeping staff - sorry but I forgot the name (I tried very hard to remember) - came very fast to clean up the mess caused by my daughter's sickness. His is around 20 years' old, a name with about 6 letters. It was around 4pm on Jul 19 he came to clean up the mess at room 34 (you may want to check the room number from your record). I did asked his name and wanted to give him a bit of tips afterwards (then I was carrying my 2-year old baby) but I was too busy with my sick daughter. However, he said it was not necessary as that was his duty. He told me that he worked until 9pm that day.
If you find out this staff, please send my thank you again and he helped me a big deal that day.

Warmest greetings! Thank you so much for your e-mail as below and my sincerest apologies for taking so long to reply! Can't believe so much time has passed since our holidays - in some ways, it almost feels like we just got back!
Paulus, I think I can vouch for the entire group that the stay at Green Garden Hotel was superb in both value-for-money and friendly service. Rest assured that all our colleagues and friends back home have been recommended to stay at the Green Garden if ever they make their way to Bali and want to stay in the Kuta area.
As for your staff, we can't recommend one of your servers, Bagus, highly enough for his friendly yet unobtrusive service. He was also knowledgeable and gave lots of tips on getting around Bali and recommending things to try. Definitely a great guy and do thank him for us. We would have liked to have said goodbye to him but he was on leave / off on the last 2 days of our stay.
As for the hotel facilities, we found the food at the hotel equal if not better than most of the food in the area. We started each day with a good breakfast (if we weren't too late in waking up!) and enjoyed a few dinners/lunches at the hotel. Ah! For the breakfast display, a short description of the local "kuehs" that were served would have been very helpful and I believe, encourage guests to try more of the local food!
One thing that would have been nice would have been to get toiletries in the bathroom (handsoap, conditioner, shower caps, etc) in addition to the bathgel cum shampoo dispenser. Also, our bathroom floor was very wet after our showers - we think it was because the shower curtain was not long (or wide?) enough to encompass the entire tub which was why water splashed outside the tub every time we showered. A stronger hairdryer would have been great too - especially useful for a roomful of girls who all washed our hairs everyday..!!!

Good morning.
I just come back to work today. Was sick after reached home. Got cold and my birthday just gone like that : ( poor me.
I would like to thank all the staffs in Green Garden like Emmy, Willy, Bagus, Kami, Jana (not sure, but is the guy who is a bit skinny) and other staffs who I can’t remember their names. Thanks for the chef, I love the Special Fried Noodle, Fried Rice, Satays
(Malaysia do not have prawn, squid and of course PORK!!!!) etc.... Just simply LOVE IT.... The watermelon juice and strawberry...yummy.....
We got a t-shirt as souvenir too : )
I really had fun in Green Garden. I was a bit not so delighted in the first day when I reckoned my room was at the ground floor, Room 12. Hotel agreed to change if there is available room in the next day as the first day I checked in was full house. But later on, I was fine already. Plus the next day we were out for the whole day and not convenient to take a move.
Just felt a bit insecure when I heard the conversation between staff when I was in the bathroom. But, after a while, I have to say that your staffs in Green Garden are all very good, friendly and hard working. They work non-stop from cleaning the floor, swimming pool, washroom (public area) then as waiters....etc. They are brilliant.
I have signed for the Spa package at Febri's. I would love to have more different sessions if time allowed.
I had a visit there but I still prefer the overall design and intimate ambiance of Green Garden. The lounge of the Febri’s Hotel was really cool. Wind blows non-stop, a bit strong indeed but just nice. Never feel humid although being just next to the main road. The location of the hotel is just right no matter to seaside, town or shopping mall.
I just reckoned one thing in Febri's during my visit on 17 June afternoon. There was only one person to serve all tables. He was like walking up and down non-stop. Maybe there were others but I only saw him, the only one to serve all the food and drink to guests. I think more staffs should be allocated in Febri's as lots of guests chose to have some food after spa section like me : ) This is just my personal observation. I am not sure whether any misunderstand involved.
I will definitely recommend family and friends to stay in Green Gardan for the Bali trip in future. If I will be there again, I would love to stay in the room, upstairs which facing the main road and able to view the swimming pool. Plus I could have the balcony to
chat with friend. Room 12 doesn't allow me to do so in private but it was fine as it is near to the swimming pool. We never expected the water was that cool at night. We
just jumped in after whole day out. Friend was screaming and jumped up immediately.... freezing....was funny though....
As conclusion, Green Garden Hotel is a good choice for budget stay and I would like to thank you and all your staffs once again for the wonderful holiday.
Sigh..... I am still in the holiday mood and can’t concentrate on work : (

It's Gabor here.
Our stay at Green Garden Hotel was simply amazing. The room was perfectly clean, big and well equipped, and the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and they were smiling all the time.
These things all together - and of course the spa facilities :) - made our holiday the best holiday we ever had and surely we will go back to Green Garden as soon as we can afford traveling to Bali.
The restaurant both in Beach Resort and in the Hotel was amazing and affordable. The shuttle services between the two facilites were very helpfull so was the shuttle to the airport and from the airport.
Our favourite staff member was Bagus, who was always helped with any question about Bali, Indonesia and he was very polite in the same time. We had a great time with him.
What we can say about Green Garden: kepp up the good work!
I hope that no one had any injuries or personal loss during the sadly happenings what just rocked Yogyakarta - Indonesia.

My family and I are very very happy that we chose Green Garden. From the moment we stepped into Wawan's Kijang from the airport to the hotel, we were truly treated like we were very important people. At our request Wawan could even send us to take dinner first at a Resoran Padang before proceeding to the hotel. We invited him to have dinner together but he politely turned down and preferred to wait for us outside the restaurant. It was the same Wawan again who sent us to the airport to take our flight home. He is truly
courteous and polite. Your other staff were also courteous and helpful, to name a few: Bagus, Sri, Kami, Suria, and all the others.
We were pleasantly surprised when we reached the hotel to find that it was indeed clean and well looked after. The only flaw, I think, is that the lights in the room and bathroom were rather dim. I could hardly see my face when I shaved in the morning. I think you could simply change to a higher wattage.
I especially like the big mirror on the wall which makes the room which is
already big, seems bigger still.
Another setback for us is that since we are Muslims we are very particular
with the food that we take. It has to be “halal”. So in our case for breakfast,
we only took breads and fruits. I would like to suggest that you serve
only halal food, so that everybody can take.
As regards the credit card conversion to Indonesian Rupiah, well, since that is the general procedure now, nothing can be done about it. So, I would like to suggest that you inform all incoming guests about it so that they are well prepared.
Yes, the swimming pool is beautiful. You know something, my better half has never before taken a dip in any hotels that we previously stayed, but at Green Garden she did, and it was at about 10 pm! It was so cosy and so calm.
In short we enjoyed the stay at the hotel very very much, and I have already recommended to a close friend of mine to stay at your hotel when he travels there either end of this month or in May.

I stayed at the Green Garden Hotel on Jalan Kartika Plaza from the 21st Feb to the morning of the 26th Feb 2006.
Room 37 was not as beautiful as room 42 but it was spacious, clean and had a nicer balcony. Most importantly the bed was comfortable and the room was
quiet. And there was a boy named Homan who came and made it so beautifully clean everyday. I really appreciated that.
I found all of your staff friendly and helpful and noticed that they seemed to work very well together as a team. Bagus, Arya, Willy, and Eddie (?) were all especially helpful. The pool, though small, was lovely and fun. The restaurant had pretty good food, very
good service, okay prices and was very pleasant to sit in.
Although, I do not like Kuta very much, I will probably stay at your hotel again as it is so
convenient for arriving and departing from Bali and I found it to be so very well-run.
Thank you for a most enjoyable stay and please tell your staff how much I appreciate their conscientious and good work.

Please forgive the delay in answering but I arrived in Sydney on Sunday & left for Hong Kong the following day and have just arrived back home.
My stay at Green Garden Hotel was always wonderful and your staff are certainly warm & welcoming. They are also very professional in their approach to the guests.
I always find Bagus the bartender extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Also Kami the waiter is really showing a lot of potential.
I did walk up to Febri's Hotel but did not see you. It is a great resort & I wish you every success. Hopefully I will get back before the end of the year and look forward to seeing you.

I found the following to be "plus points" of Green Garden Hotel during my stay in Bali recently (room 26 and room 24).
a) Free airport transfers : They save hotel guests a lot of trouble in getting transportation from the airport, especially for those arriving in Bali after dark, to the hotel and vice versa.
b) Free Breakfasts : Yummy…
c) Swimming Pool : A nice place for hotel guests to take a dip.
d) A Mini library : Small but offering lots of novels with easy reading in various languages.
e) Friendly, helpful and courteous staff
f) A small but nice "garden" hotel makes it like a "home away from home"
g) Safe Deposit Box in every room: Good for safe keeping of valuables & travel documents.
h) Spacious Balcony : Some guests use it as a "drying area" J
i) Good food & good service at reasonable prices.
j) Complimentary Massage for 2 for stay of 6 nights or more. Great promo…
k) Clean and spacious rooms.
l) Excellent laundry service.
j) Overall - It's good value for money.
But I found the following ponts that might need improvements:
a) No Door Bell : Hard knocking on the "plywood" door can cause "irritation" to the hotel guests. Each time there was a hard knock on my door, most of the time by my own relatives staying at the hotel with me, I felt as though there was a police raid !! L
b) The Safe Deposit Box should be placed on the upper-most shelf, and not on the middle shelf, to allow for "easy reach" and better visibility of the combination numbers.
c) The area where the safe deposit box is placed is not bright enough. Especially after dark, the combination numbers cannot be seen clearly.
d) Free breakfasts should include eggs at all times!
e) Newspapers should be made freely available for hotel guests at the registration counter.
Having considered all, Green Garden Hotel is still "good value for money". I will recommend friends and relatives who wish to visit Bali to stay at Green Garden Hotel !!!
